Al-Baqarah Verse 1-5

Alif, Lam, Mim. This is the Book of Allah, there is no doubt in it; it is a guidance for the pious, for those who believe in the existence of that which is beyond the reach of perception,who establish Prayer and spend out of what We have provided them, who believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed before you, and have firm faith in the Hereafter. Such are on true guidance from their Lord; such are the truly successful.
Dunya is not the full story. It is one stage in the soul’s journey.
Allah created death and life to test which of us is best in deeds. This means our limited time on earth is not accidental. It is an opportunity to choose, work, serve, repent, build, protect, and use what Allah has entrusted to us responsibly.
The real question is not only:

What did I earn?
The deeper question is:

What did I do with what Allah entrusted to me?
This is why purpose matters. A clear purpose helps a person use time, skills, wealth, relationships and opportunities in a way that creates benefit in dunya and, by Allah’s mercy, continues as reward after death.
My aim is not only to build for this life, but to build what may continue benefiting people after I return to Allah.
